The children and young people receive a solid education based on Christian and classical values. Mentoring and supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis is of fundamental importance to our schools. The schools are located at the following sites: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fksz.ch\/schulhaeuser\/kreuzbuehl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kreuzb\u00fchl<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fksz.ch\/schulhaeuser\/sumatra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sumatra<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fksz.ch\/schulhaeuser\/wiedikon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wiedikon<\/a>; they are open to all. The schools are financially supported by the Cantonal Church, the Catholic Association for the City of Zurich, and the church congregations.<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fksz.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Catholic Community Schools of Zurich (Freie Katholische Schulen Z\u00fcrich) (German-language)<\/a><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n        <\/div>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div    class=\"accordion\">\n  <div class=\"container-xxl\">\n    <div class=\"col-lg-10 offset-lg-2\">\n      <div class=\"accordion-header\">\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-header-title\">13.4 million Swiss francs<\/h2>\n        <button class=\"accordion-header-button\" type=\"button\" aria-label=\"Toggle accordion\"><\/button>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"col-md-10\">\n        <div class=\"accordion-inner\">\n          <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>is the amount the Catholic Church provides to fund educational services and the teaching of Christian values. A total of 407 women and men teach religious education, prepare Catholics for First Communion, and support young people preparing for Confirmation. Clergy and pastoral workers teach at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zhkath.ch\/engagement\/gruppen\/junge-kirche\/jugendliche\/mittelschulseelsorge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">public secondary schools in the Canton<\/a>, run meeting places and community centers, and provide counseling in case of school or family problems. Anyone wishing to engage in debate, or to reflect on certain topics, should visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paulusakademie.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Paulus Akademy<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/aki-zh.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jesuits\u2019 Academic House for Students<\/a> (Akademikerhaus der Jesuiten f\u00fcr Studierende).<br><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zhkath.ch\/engagement\/themen\/bildung-kultur\/bildung\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Education<\/a><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n        <\/div>\n      <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div    class=\"accordion color-lilac\">\n  <div class=\"container-xxl\">\n    <div class=\"col-lg-10 offset-lg-2\">\n      <div class=\"accordion-header\">\n        <h2 class=\"accordion-header-title\">2453 persons<\/h2>\n        <button class=\"accordion-header-button\" type=\"button\" aria-label=\"Toggle accordion\"><\/button>\n      <\/div>\n      <div class=\"col-md-10\">\n        <div class=\"accordion-inner\">\n          <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>are active members of the 23 communities and associations of the Zurich Catholic Women\u2019s League (Katholischer Frauenbund Z\u00fcrich \u2013 KFB). The Women\u2019s League is a network of 120,000 women organized in 600 local associations throughout Switzerland.  It promotes the rights of women in politics, society and the church, and supports training and further education for women. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frauenbund-zh.ch\/%C3%9Cber%20uns\/beratungsstelle%20-%20tandem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Women\u2019s League \u201ctandem\u201d counseling center<\/a> advises and supports women in difficult or demanding situations, e.g. during pregnancy or childbirth, while they are bringing up children, or if they are experiencing a crisis or loneliness, or trying to find a new focus in life.
