You pay church tax, and this money enables us to provide pastoral care, and counseling. We provide pastoral care, and counseling in 95 parishes, in retirement and care homes, children\u2019s homes or similar institutions, and in hospitals and counseling centers. Roughly half our receipts go towards supporting social projects, educational activities, and cultural initiatives, or are disbursed to local businesses for construction and maintenance work done by them. We also support poor and marginalized people, and refugees. Especially in times of crisis\u2014for instance during wars, climate disasters, or during pandemics like the covid pandemic\u2014our focus is on people whose life is particularly affected by such occurrences.<\/p>\n
